Bio
The Pendulum Hearts formed in Austin, Texas in 2018. Their sound is a unique blend of Western Swing, Jazz Manouche and Honky Tonk. The band members consist of Chase Risinger, Tony Perez and a rotating cast of rhythm section and soloists including Josh Flowers, Zack Sapunor, Aaron Parks, Jake Harrell, Greg Forrest Nelson, Conner Strickland and Vance Hazen.
Chase Risinger has been playing guitar and writing songs since the tender age of 13. Combining elements of swing, country, jazz manouche and surf rock, he has carved out a unique sound to go along with his quirky crooning. In 2013, Risinger packed up his truck and tried his luck in Austin, Texas, with the desire to be among his own kind. Once there, he quickly fell in with the local musicians, playing in a number of bands, eventually founding the Pendulum Hearts in 2018.
Tony Perez is a furiously talented violinist, he consistently works the crowd up into a hysterical frenzy with his lively and exhilarating solos. His expert playing seamlessly navigates from western swing to classical motifs, from red hot club jazz to cool ethereal bebop. Tony moved to Austin after graduating from Northern Arizona University with a degree in musical performance.
Whether they're at a swanky night club, a sweaty honky-tonk or a rowdy backyard barn dance, the band pour their souls into every single performance each and every night.
